The members of the Aging and Vascular Physiology Lab value diversity and believe that research benefits from a diversity of scientists. We recognize the effects of systemic racism and inequity in science. Our goal is to advocate for diverse and inclusive environments throughout our professional lives including our research, teaching, mentoring, and outreach activities. We strive to act as allies and amplify diverse voices. Our lab is a safe and supportive environment for the exchange of ideas. In addition, we strive to better understand the role of health inequity and racism in the diseases we study.
